Design: Trilobite form stamped/carved into the clay forming rough edges where garlic can be ground into a paste. The bowl shape allows you to mix in oil, vinegar, and any other herbs you would like to create unique sauces, dip for breads, etc.

Making: My pottery is hand-formed on the potter's wheel from stoneware clay. It is then heated over 1700 degrees fahrenheit to vitrify the clay, turning it into stone.

I design and apply a resist in the shape of Idaho-local plants or animals; then glaze is hand-brushed everywhere except the bottom of the piece. When the resist is removed, it leaves a silhouette of bare clay. It's a simple aesthetic that preserves the texture and color of the clay, while featuring familiar natural elements.

Care: These pieces are microwave, dishwasher, and food safe.
