I have always been captivated by the beauty and magic of sunsets. It's a daily miracle that we often take for granted. But, imagine that sunset from the back of a horse. One you know well and have spent 100s of hours traveling with... there is nothing more awe-inspiring.

This mug series captures a small taste of that feeling which - for me - is nostalgic. When I was a kid I rode by bike past a pony that was clearly neglected (or worse). I pooled my sister and I's life savings ($300) and went to the owners door - demanding that he let me buy it or I would call the police.

He was more than happy to sell her, and so my story of horse ownership began. I rode that pony EVERYWHERE - and formed a connection with her that only horse people can understand. I can't tell you how many times we would lope along ridgelines or run down sandy washes in the foothills, racing the sunset to get home before dark. 

These mugs carry that memory.
