Elk Jar
Description
This design is hand-painted before the jar is fired, then coated with clear glaze to make it smooth, glossy, and durable. I often get asked "what do you use that for" so I've created a list of some of the things you can store in lidded vessels:
- Kitchen: coffee beans, loose leaf tea, cooking salt, spice blends, sweetener packets, powder scoops
- Bedroom: nightstand "catch all", jewelry, crystals, hair accessories, phone charging cables, earplugs, sleep masks, small candles, love notes
- Bathroom: cotton balls, cotton swabs, bath salts, hair ties, bobby pins, razor heads, floss picks, nail care tools, epsom salt
- Desk & office: paper clips, binder clips, rubber bands, spare change, desk candies
Material: Stoneware Pottery
Design: Elk and mountain scene hand-painted within a stamped frame on white stoneware. Interior color is a reddish brown and forest green combination.
Maker Notes: My pottery is hand-formed on the potter's wheel from stoneware clay. It is then altered using a wide variety of surface design techniques, before being heated to over 1700 degrees fahrenheit. This process leads to fully vitrified clay (now stone) that is both durable and comfortable in the hand.
Care: These pieces are microwave, dishwasher, and food safe though I recommend hand-washing painted pieces - just in case.
